Kick big butts and kill giants as you go

David didn’t know he was going to kill a giant when he left his father’s house to go to the camp where his brothers were. He was only obeying his father’s instructions to take food to his brothers, but when he heard Goliath opening his big mouth he kicked his gigantic butt. That was easy! While doing a very simple job, David was used by God to kill Goliath in a very spontaneous way. God wants to use us in the midst of our simple daily activities. If we are available to Him, He will use us to kill giants as we go. Wherever we go, let's serve people and make ourselves available to be used by God to set the captives free. That was easy!

Be Strong and Very Courageous

Joshua 1:7

Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

Even though the book of Joshua is a book of war, God did not tell Joshua to be strong and courageous to fight his enemies. He told Joshua to be strong and courageous in keeping The Word Of God. It’s a joy to know that our focus is not the devil; instead, it’s God Himself. We must put our effort into pleasing God if we want to be prosperous in everything we do. The battle is the Lord’s and He will give us the victory if we follow His strategy for our lives. We may have amazing war strategies to win in life, but God’s strategy for us is that we obey His word and then we will be prosperous in everything we do.
